Zürcher Sing-Akademie

Since its foundation in 2011, Zürcher Sing-Akademie has worked with many excellent orchestras in Switzerland and beyond, as well as created its a capella series, with a focus on the work of Swiss composers. With regular commissions and premieres, the ensemble makes a serious contribution to the development of the choral landscape.

Zürcher Sing-Akademie has worked with top conductors such as Bernard Haitink, David Zinman, Daniel Barenboim, Sir Roger Norrington, Pablo Heras-Casado, Neeme Järvi, Charles Dutoit, Giovanni Antonini and René Jacobs. Concert tours brought the ensemble to Germany, Italy, Israel, the Netherlands, Lebanon, Taiwan and China, as well as many European capitals. Highlights were the concerts in the BBC-Proms in London, in the Philharmonie Paris, the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, the Philharmonie Köln and the National Concert Hall Taipeh.

Next to the longstanding partnership with Tonhalle-Orchester Zürich, the professional ensemble works regulary with renowned orchestraslike Freiburger Barockorchester, Luzerner Sinfonieorchester, Orchestre de la Suisse Romande, Kammerorchester Basel, Musikkollegium Winterthur, Hofkapelle München and barock orchestra La Scintilla.

Since 2017, Florian Helgath is chief conductor and artistic leader of Zürcher Sing-Akademie.
