Tallinn 29 June – 1 July 2022
Our next conference will focus on ‘belonging’ in all senses of the word. How does a choir belong to the community it is part of? How does a singer or a conductor belong in a choir? What does it take for new singers and conductors to feel they belong? How does a music organisation create an environment where all its supporters feel welcome?
The conference will start with a lunch on Wednesday 29 June, followed by the opening session. It continues on Thursday 30 June, with more sessions and the 40th anniversary concert of the Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir.
Confirmed: Elvire de Paiva e Pona, keynote (PT) ▪ Jenni Reineke, moderator (DE) ▪ Sophie Dowden, round-up (UK) ▪ Jamie Munn, Nevis Ensemble (UK) ▪ Anne-Christine Wemekamp, Wishful Singing (NL) ▪ Paul Smith, VOCES8 Foundation (UK)
More info on times and venues on the next page
The conference is open to all interested representatives from the cultural sector and beyond. To register, send an email to meeting @ tensonetwork.eu [remove spaces].
Registered attendants are welcome to join us for the sessions and the concert. Unlike previous meetings we will not be organising travel+accommodation for attendees but we can point you towards a good hotel option. On the spot, we will ask you to contribute to the costs of the meals organised by Tenso (lunch on 29 and 30 June).
We reserve the right to accept or refuse registration without further motivation.
Tenso Members Meeting will take place on Wednesday 29 June in the morning (Tenso members only).
