The 2015 award was given to Sebastian Androne, consisting of a new work to be performed in the 2016/2017 season by Tenso choirs.

Tenso Young Composers Workshop

The Tenso Young Composers Workshop wants to help promising young composers to take the step to writing for choir. Rather than giving confirmation to those who have already shown their skills in writing choral music, we especially want to give encouragement and practical support to those who have not.

Interested to observe the workshop? Please feel welcome! Send an e-mail to  workshop @ tensonetwork.eu [remove spaces] and we will keep you posted when the second round will take place.

Rautavaara competition

Next year, Tenso member Helsingin kamarikuoro organizes the second edition of the  Rautavaara chamber choir composition workshop and competition 2016, which is aimed especially at composers with more advanced experience of writing for choirs. The workshop will take place in November 2015 and July 2016. Deadline for applications: 31 August 2015.
